Elaia Partners was founded in 2002 as an independent private equity boutique focused on Digital.

Emilio Martínez, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer

Emilio Martinez founded AGNITIO in 2004 with four partners and is currently CEO and Chairman of the board. From the years 2000 to 2004, Emilio was part of held executive positions in several technology start-ups, such as Viaplus-Tech, a technology Web Portal, and AIA, a company offering unique security solutions based on proprietary Artificial Intelligence algorithms. Emilio has a strong background of working with technology companies, and has been a part of companies such as Lucent Technologies Microelectronics, where he worked from 1991 to 2000. During this period he lead engineering and research team for several other organizations, such as the Interconnect Group in Bell Labs (Murray Hill, USA). Emilio Martinez holds a PhD in Physics from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, where he was assistant professor (1978-1988).

Carles Ferrer

 

 

 

 

 

Carles is a General Partner in Nauta Capital and leads the Enterprise Software and Security investment vertical. Carles has opened Nauta’s London office, where he is based. Carles has managed different VC funds since year 2000 and has extensive Venture Capital experience. His previous experience includes positions in corporate strategy and planning/finance divisions with blue chip companies in telecommunications, Defence, SW, auto and financial advisory spaces, such as TRW (acquired by Northrop Grumman), Auna Group/Retevision (acquired by France Telecom) and Ernst & Young.

Apart from AGNITIO, Carles sits also at the Board of Scytl (Secure Electronic Voting), Brandwatch (Social media monitoring), Abiquo (Cloud Management), Getapp (Workspace for SaaS applications), iJento (Multichannel Customer Intelligence) and Basekit (Saas web builder for SMEs).

Al Sisto
 

Al Sisto has over 35 years of experience in the high-tech industry and is currently a Venture Partner with Nauta Capital and a General Partner of Sixth Bridge L. P., where he serves as an investor and business advisor to private companies. Al is also currently Chairman of Acctuall, Inc., a SaaS financial services and analytics company.

Prior to Nauta, Al was Chairman and CEO of Hifn (NASDAQ:HIFN) from November 2006 until its merger with Exar Corporation in April 2009. He also was Chairman, President and CEO of Phoenix Technologies (NASDAQ:PTEC) and Chief Operating Officer RSA Data Security, Inc. Al has also held executive positions at PixelCraft, Inc., MIPS Technologies, Ingres, Intel and Honeywell. In addition to Acctuall, he also serves on the Board of Directors for iJento and GetApp,  Nauta companies Al earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the Stevens Institute of Technology.

Xavier Lazarus
 
 
Xavier combines an entrepreneurial carreer with a VC experience in software and IT industries. 

After an early career in Research in the Orsay University, Xavier conducted an entrepreneurial project developing software and systems and cofounding Cred-M, now a department of the French publisher Editions Odile Jacob. Then he joined CPR – now part of the Crédit Agicole group – where he was involved in launching and developing a VC business in the software and IT sectors.

 Xavier graduated from ENS (Ecole normale supérieure, S91) and obtained a PhD degree in Mathematics with honors.
 
Gerard Compain
 
 
Gérard Compain is Chairman/CEO of GMX Sas and Founder/Chairman of Cadege Technology & Consulting. From 1995 to 2005, Gérard Compain served as Managing Director and then CEO of Ingenico SA. From 1985 to 1995, Mr. Compain served in various executive and operational positions with BULL PCC, which is the Payment Systems Division of Groupe Bull.
 
Francis J. Harvey

Dr. Francis J. Harvey is a Director of AGNITIO Corp. Dr Harvey has spent the majority of his career with corporations that provided products and services to the federal government, particularly the US Department of Defense. From November 2004 to March 2007, Dr. Harvey served as the 19th Secretary of the Army. Dr. Harvey was responsible for the Department of the Army's annual budget and supplemental of over $200 billion. He led a work force of over one million active duty, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve Soldiers and 240,000 Department of the Army civilian employees. 

Just prior to becoming Secretary, Dr. Harvey served on several corporate boards including 3 portfolio companies of the Carlyle Group where he was the vice chairman of the board for 2of these companies. Between 1997 and 2004, he served on total of 10 different corporate and non-corporate boards. At the present time, he is on 6 corporate boards and 10 advisory boards. From 1969 to 1997, Dr. Harvey held various professional, management and executive positions within the Westinghouse Corporation, including President of the Electronics Systems Group, President of the Government and Environmental Services Company, and Chief Operating Officer of the multi billion dollar Industries and Technology Group.
